Just like owning a Chessie, I didn't see myself dressing up and prancing my dog aound a show ring. As far as I knew it was just a beauty pagent for dogs. I was once again wrong, it is very addicting whether or not you win! The dogs love it! The show ring is an event that gives you a good prospective of how close your dog is to it's standard, and we all should be breeding to that set standard! It gives me a good idea in what to look for in potential stud dogs for my girls. It lets me know their flaws and weakness, as well as their high points.
